I’ve noticed a skin darkening like a ring around my belly button and my linea nigra is more noticeable now. Apparently, it’s called the mask of pregnancy or chloasma or melasma. I’m still waiting to develop some blotchy patches on my face and neck as well. Despairingly, they will show up in my last trimester. Maybe they splotches are already there I just haven’t noticed them. Well, they’re painless anyway so they don’t bother me. And those skin pigmentation doesn’t have anything to do with the baby’s sex. I can have either sex with or without chloasma. Unlike some beliefs that a pregnant woman will have a boy if she’s got chloasma. It appears that, it’s just normal to have those pigmentations.
