It’s amazing how I started to ‘not like’ some of the food that I use to like. I feel disgusted with almost all of them. Preparing this week’s menu makes my stomach churn! I used to like or even love chicken soup but now it makes me gag. Not to mention fish and chips, noodles and lamb. I prefer to eat food that’s freshly cooked and I don’t want to see them again, ever! The only food that doesn’t agitate my stomach (yet) is crispbread. It has the right amount of salt and it tastes just fine with me especially when eaten with a mug of hot choc. Also my altered sense of smell makes me hard to stand close to my workmates because they just smell horrible! Even my supervisor’s shampoo stinks! Russ was surprised to see me got up again last night to go to the loo. I told him that he should get use to my nocturnal visits to the bathroom as this would be regular for the next few months. I just have to get up to empty my bladder! Aside from the strange metallic taste in my mouth and changes in smell, another issue is my being tired. I’m just so exhausted and felt like I’ve run a marathon when all I’ve done is put in a day at the office. I guess, fatigue is a hallmark of early pregnancy.
