My Preggy Diet

posted on 27/09/2007 Thursday

Got up again for my nocturnal visits to the bathroom plus my midnight snack of warm milk and Danish butter cookies and a quick read. Here’s hoping that this won’t become a habit, as it’s not pleasant. I should be sleeping instead of reading pregnancy books! Been stuffing myself with fresh fruits and vegetables everyday. I found some organic fruits and veggies in the supermarket the other day. They’re a bit pricey but they’re all for my baby anyway so it doesn’t matter! I want my baby to be as healthy as s/he can. My baby is what I eat so better give him/her the best!

I’m also hoping that my baby will like fresh fruits and vegetables like I do. I’m definitely sure though that s/he is going to like rice as I’ve made it as part of my main diet, (it’s always been). Russ is happy that I’m eating good food instead of disgusting junk food. I prefer to eat food in their natural form if possible. It’s good because I’ve like natural food ever since anyway I don’t have to worry about how to eat ‘good food’. Treats are normal from time to time like when I had an ice cream on the weekend. I don’t want to eat really sweet processed food as I’m concerned about having gestational diabetes.

Breakfast: porridge with sultanas, banana & plenty of milk Lunch: pumpkin & snake beans in cocomilk Snacks: watermelon, cookie, seeds, nuts & dried fruit Dinner: chicken adobo with carrots & organic zucchini & rice, Packham pears
