Vernix baby

posted on 29/09/2007 Saturday

Today is the start of my 19th week. According to the book that I’m reading, my feet will be a size bigger. A very good excuse to go shoe shopping! My baby should be about 8 inches long, 8 ounces in weight, and covered in vernix, a white, cheesy "cream" that protects his/her skin from the long bath in amniotic fluid. Now I know why some babies still have that white thin layer of protective stuff in their skin after they’re born. Interesting! It’s good to read pregnancy books to learn about preggy stuff so other people who thinks they’re omniscience don’t have to lecture me on some pregnancy issues.

Breakfast: 2 toasts with orange marmalade and milk Lunch: miswa with sardines and rice and mango/apple juice Snacks: Packham pears Dinner: Fish & chips
